jaime27
Hello everyone, I am new on the rf design field, and I am making a project for an electronics class and have some questions. My project consists on making a wireless alarm. The alarm instead of making the sound through the speaker, it should send a signal to a bracelet to activate a vibrator. I am planning on designing a transmitter that will be activated by the signal that is send to the speaker. So at the other end, this is where my question come, I want to design some sort of audio detector that will be activated when it receives the signal at that certain frequency and activate the vibrator. Does this sounds good? What can I use to detect a signal? I was thinking of making a design with a comparator. Thanks to everyone for your time. audioguru
Hi Jaime,Welcome to our forum. ;DA comparator is not a radio receiver. You need a radio receiver to receive a signal from the alarm's transmitter. The transmitter transmits a radio signal, not sound. Then the presence of the alarm sound from the radio receiver can activate the vibrator.
