aca
Hi guys,I'm ACA, new in the community. Can any one help me with a 12v dc to 220v ac inverter circuit diagram with a little explanation. Will appreciate very much. Thanks.ACA.
audioguru
Hi Aca,Welcome to our forum. ;DWe have two simple old square-wave inverter projects in our Projects section:1) The Inverter: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/power/018/index.htmlIts capacitors are backwards and explode, its transistors don't have enough base current and the transistors have avalanche breakdown. The text claims 300W but its output is only about 25W.2) 500W Low Cost 12V to 220V Inverter: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/power/033/index.htmlIt had many errors that I fixed but it was recently changed by somebody else.It doesn't have enough transistors for 500W. It might produce 250W at the limit for the transistors. Its transistors must be matched and have high gain. It has two quad opamps when a single dual opamp should be used.Modern inverter circuits use Mosfets instead of transistors. They are Modified-Sine-Wave or Pure Sine-Wave. The sine-wave inverters use a complicated pulse-width-modulation circuit. We have chatted about the different kinds on these forums.Have you found another circuit you are interested in?
