Is there any book for ups out there. I have made quite a search on the internet but most of the data I found was either out-dated or incomprehensible. For example the inverter circuit I found was of 1998 (http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/UPS-HOWTO/index.html). Hero999 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Share Posted July 1, 2010 How long do you need it to last for?2kW is 200A from a 12V battery, assuming 80% efficiency, consider using a higher voltage, for example 2kW is only 50A from a 48V battery.
