anton2010
Hello everyoneThe moment is that one of our client wants to automate the process of drawing pictures on the pavement. We assemble servo drive solutions for different branches. We know how we could drive some device which could print a picture but we have absolutely no idea what device could print on the paving tile, asphalt
Silent Jack
There are numerous methods that could be used, depending on how permanent you wanted the printing and at what resolution. How large an area are you plotting and are you trying to plot "line art" or pixel level pictures?
anton2010
An area is differ from 1m x 1m up to 5m x 5x. I don't think that pixel will do the job. Probably better to print with "big drops". But I don't know where I could find this printer.Someone propose me to use high speed jet printerhead. But I don't image to print pixels on the asphalt area 3m x 3m. ... The cost of inks, the productivity, cleaning machine ...
Silent Jack
What are you trying to print/plot on the pavement? Is it supposed to be permanent? I have software and some hardware specs for several types of design, but resolution could be an issue without some modifications. They are detailed enough for doing CNC machining for example. anton2010
Could you give a hint on your idea?
Silent Jack
I have several ideas but they are all largely dependent on what you're specifically trying to accomplish. I'm just trying to gather adequate information about your goals so that I can make an effective recommendation.
anton2010
I would like to draw 3D pictures on the pavements.http://www.hitlife.net.ua/articles14/767/chillout
Silent Jack
I believe a device of this type would be possible, but expensive to operate. It looks like you'd be using multiple pens. Creating a cartesian coordinate linear actuator system will be the easy part. Processing and managing the pens will be the real burden of design. I know of some software that is available for multiple actuator systems as well as a compatible integrated circuit that is quite affordable or even readily available as salvage. I strongly suspect you will need to write a program to translate the images into function for your system though. Do you have any background in programming? anton2010
Why not to drop inks through the jets? We could use quick response solenoid to control inks.http://www.parker.com/portal/site/PARKER/menuitem.7100150cebe5bbc2d6806710237ad1ca/?vgnextoid=f5c9b5bbec622110VgnVCM10000032a71dacRCRD&vgnextfmt=EN&vgnextdiv=&vgnextcatid=2887383&vgnextcat=SOLENOID++VALVES&Wtky=VALVESAbout our skills in programmingOur electronic engineer have some skills in programming. Hero999
THat's a good idea, you could use a standard inkjet print head.1) Paint area white.2) Use inject printer.3) Cover with a transparent water proof laquer.Or if it only needs to be temporary, use water soluble paint for #1 and omit #3. Silent Jack
The ULN2003 IC can be used with freely available software that will run even in DOS on systems as old as a 486. It can control easily enough axis for the project you propose. I'll have to dig into my archives and find the name of the software. Stepper motors can be controlled for this task.
