rragupathiraja
Hi,I am making a Boost converter for my inverter application.. Vin - 12VVout - 24VSwitching frequency - 100kHZDuty ratio - 50%I am generating a PWM signal of 100kHz for switching the 2SK-3817 MOSFET. The Driver used between MCU and FET is TC4424.. The load is a 24V, 50W bulb. the inductor value is 570 Micro henry and cap is 10MicroF..the problem i am facing is, as i am increasing the input voltage of converter and the boosting takes place.. but at Vin =7.5V, the circuit gets shorted and the current goes to 6A and the controller is then reset.. every time it happens.. help me in this regard.thanks
Hero999
It sounds like you're not limiting the duty cycle so the inductor is saturating. Why not simply replace the light bulb with one designed to run on 12V? Using an SMPS to power something which can easily be changed to the correct voltage is bad design.
