pawankanakadri Posted April 15, 2012 Report Share Posted April 15, 2012 Hi, Am looking for a 3 ph bridge rectifier for 115 vac 400hz delta config, load current around 20amps.can i go with a rectifier tat is generally used for 50/60 hz.. or is there any specific parameter to be taken care if am using for 400Hz.. am little worried abt I fsm parameter will affect.. kindly let me if is the any particular rule to be followed for 400Hz. Hero999 Posted April 15, 2012 Report Share Posted April 15, 2012 The recovery time is the only thing you need to be wary of. At 400Hz it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The power dissipated at 400Hz would be slightly higher than it wouls be at 60Hz. I'd advise selecting a part with a higher current rating than you need, go for 25A or 30A.
