hi members, I need some advice on making a pcb. the board I want to make shows a top view with the componets shown. this is the only pcb shown. my question is, if I make this board won't the components layout be covered with resist and also be on the board? is there a solution to this?

In many instances, the view you see from the component side is the one which is printed on to a transfer sheet.
When this sheet is placed on the copper side for transfer using heat or whatever, it is then the correct way around.

You can't. As explained to you in the other forum, if you have only one image with two pieces of information, both will be in the result. Please post a link to the article with the drawing. Please post an image of the drawing or a link to the image file. Please provide some useful information.

just redraw it yourself without the components.

On the page there is a link to a folder with the Gerber files. These are the image files you send to a pc board house to make the bare board. Also, there is a link to another page with a schematic, but it is not clear if this is the exact schematic for the board that is shown. Between these two you should have enough to recreate the pc board layout.

thanks for your input. I used PAINT to erase the lines I didn't want to etch. worked good, I now will etch the board.

As ak mentioned. Send the Gerber files you need to the PCB manufacture. This is the bottom side copper.

Oh ok, but what a waste of your time when you had the Gerber files.
