I have got a control unit from a electroplating machine. now I would like to know how can I control this unit using rs485 instead of manual input to via the buttons. thanks.

PS missing chip is a PSOC1 from cypress.

Hello,

You can not link images from your local PC.
Upload the images using the "Upload a File" button.
Keep in mind that the images can have a size of 300 kB.

I have seen this problem for years on EP.
I was once told 100kB.
Soooo, do we finally have a definitive max size of 300kB?.

Not definitive. 300 kB is the result of some experimentation by @bertus . Anyway, much better than the 100 kB propagated previously

You can use a microcontroller or a computer to send commands to the PSOC1 chip via RS485. You will need to write software that sends the appropriate commands to the PSOC1 chip to simulate the button presses that you would normally use to control the machine.
