Hey, thanks for the update and for sharing this information! I was just asking you about it, as I'm living the same situation with my upstairs neighbors. Complete psychopaths, harassing and torturing me.
So bad to hear about the ceiling thumper not being effective, I had a lot of hopes on it to solve my problem, I was almost ready to get one. So you think it's basically a scam with false advertising over internet?
I know nothing about the sound systems and Buttkicker LFE, also the amazon seller you posted unfortunately doesn't ship to my country : (. I'm going to have to study this topic and it's going to take me some time. It seems to be a lot more complex and expensive than the thumper, but at the same time very interesting.
Meanwhile I will just have to do some manual hammering with a piece of wood on the ceiling, at 3 am, just going the primitive way, as I can't take this torture anymore.

Forget Ceiling Thumper. Don't waste your time and money. It works to some extend, but It is not powerful enough to wake someone up from their sleep. Yes, it is false advertisement. There were some comments like this on Aliexpress on the product I purchased but listing is removed. In fact, some guy removed hte plastic and placed a metal and he was saying it is still useless.

You cannot do this the primitive way buddy. You need to automate this process and for maximum effect you have to schedule it to come on at random times of the night.

Yes Buttkicker setup is not cheap. But I think cost can be halved by using a smaller buttkicker and a cheaper amp.

Are you a tenant? If you are, seriously move to somewhere else. Your quality of life will be affected a whole lot from these animals.

Temporarily you can play music to suppress that.

You can use some services like Shop and Ship to get it to your country if you want to go to that route. Or Ebay.

gonzcl i also want to say that I really feel your suffering. Is this a recent happenning or going on long?​

There are also some other things you can do. I screwed up his internet connection for months with a Wifi Jammer. A very powerful and expensive one too. Mine was very focused, placed directly under his router but you need to be careful with that as it is illegal and you can harm your other neighbors if you are not experienced.

Gonz, the thumper worked well for me. I did some modifications to them, the main one being adding a 2nd motor and running them at 24v instead of 12v.

I had 4 of these thumpers going hooked up to smart plugs. It appears that these mofos have left as it has been almost 2 weeks since any signs of life have been observed.

This has been ongoing for almost a year so I decided to escalate it by adding thumpers, and tactile transducers to blast them with low frequency sweeps.

I never got around to mounting the transducers to the ceiling but they worked really well when I tested them on my internal concrete walls between rooms. They're not as powerful as the bass kicker, but that suckers cost a bomb so I had to sorta build my own. I had 6 transducer wired in parallel mounted on a sheet of polystyrene. You can barely hear anything in the room itself when running low frequency, but on the other side it's pretty bad.

I was halfway through planning some open baffle speakers as well but the thumpers alone seem to have solved the issue.

They've either gone on a long holiday or moved out lol. Only time will tell.

Can you please be more elaborate on what you have done with Ceiling Thumpers wallaby? Perhaps that will be a useful alternative to some friends. How are you running them? In the night?

And no, nobody is moving out in 2 weeks bro! If you have not removed the plastic casing, I doubt much sound will be transferred to the other side. Buttkickers are all metal and they are also attached 10cms into the wall with metal anchors. Sound goes to the other side like crazy.

@6_6_6 it's been going on for 19 months. They denies everything and plays as the victims. We are dealing with TRUE psichopaths.

They elaborates ridiculous set ups, for example, trying to convince the whole community that nobody is at home when we complain about the noises and that we are insane. They send pictures of the whole family at the beach, "we are all out of the city" and moments later they are caught in the cameras of the building. Stupid idiots, they think they are so smart but are a bunch of stupid dumbs.

We are owners and they are owners too. we sued them and won the case, they must pay us a compensation (not a big amount anyway) and that's all we could get, nobody can force them to move away, or to stop making noise, not even the law. But they have appealed the case so everything is "frozen" now till a new verdic. Anyway, none of this has been useful to stop them

This week after a hell of complaints and heavy pressure from our side to the management of the building, the animals were finally sanctioned by the management with a fine, as we threaten them with legal actions too if they don't take any action against this evil "neighbors". This isn't' stopping the problem either.

During this whole nightmare, my mom, who was severely affected, had a heart attack and survived after surgery and staying many days on the hospital. The animals knew about it, and they started to make it even worse, EVIL psychopaths, they were enjoying it even more.

What makes the situation even more complicated is that I have tinnitus due to acoustic trauma (many many years ago), and the psichopaths have heavily worsened my condition with the loud noise. So now I've got the best hearing protection, earmuffs from 3M to be able to strike back, whether with the ceiling thumper, hammering or any other tactics, without causing futher damage to myself as I can't get exposed to loud noise without protection.

In one occasion I went upstairs to knock their door, and was "attacked" by 2 of them (dad and his son) they insulted me, offering to a fight with both of them at the same time, and they even went back inside to get a stick, so I had to return downstairs, called my brother (who is black belt in Kung fu, and competes in sanda - chinese kick boxing-) and I begged him to go upstairs with me to beat the hell out of the psychopaths, but he didn't accept, he said it will make everything worse and we will get into legal issues. I got very upsted and angry with him after that and I thought he was a coward. (btw he is not living here). He said if THEY ever put 1 feet in our floor, then he will not forgive and the situation will be different.
