i meant it was something i cant understand it was too advanced and way over my head
i understand that the slip is attached to my platform
lets say i have a 4+ channel
all the stationary wires can be attached to one power source 1/2 to + and 1/2 to - and then the revolving ones just need to be attached the smae way same colors to the same polarity?

Yes, exactly.
The reason for more ‘channels’ (circuits), is to have different signals, data or voltages for any number of reasons. A second motor on the moving platform or a device that requires 5V and not 12v for example.
When you think of slip rings, imagine a ribbon cable that doesn’t tangle!.
Also work out how many wires you require from ribbon cable and buy a slip ring with that amount of wires.

No!
That’s the maximum voltage it can handle.
I don’t think you are reading the replies properly. I already told you that.

You need only 2 of the 6 slip rings.
Mount the slip ring assembly on the axle such that the outer case of the assembly is stationary (fixed in position). The inner part of the assembly should rotate with the axle. If necessary you may need shims to fit the rotating part of the assembly to the axle. Then mount the platform to the axle and rotating part of the slip ring assembly.
You can do without shims if you find a way to firmly attach the rotating part of the slip ring asembly to the platform. Then you only have to attach the platform firmly to the axle.

Now you should have a setup with a fixed motor and a rotating platform.

The wires are color coded. Each color on the fixed side of the slip ring assembly matches the same color on the rotating part of the assembly. Chose any pair of colors, e.g. red and black. Connect the power source (e.g. battery) to the wires coming out from the fixed part of the slip ring assembly.
Typically red = "+" , black = "-".
Connect the light to the corresponding wires (red and black) on top of the rotating platform.

Hello,

As I see it, the slipring will not fit on the shaft.
The hole in the slipring is 5 mm and the shaft is 7 mm.

I have no clue how to have BOTH the platform with the lights revolve without the connection wires to DC snapping
am I even attempting something possible?
I need a small platform thats lit up with mini lights revolve. platform size 10 cm (4 inches) 12 v
weight on platform about 6-8 oz
mini 12v lights like a fire
I know how to make the plartform revolve. I dont know how to add the lighs on the slipring to this set up

Okay sorry I'm on The late show!
Below is your link you need to buy the slip ring with more channels in order to add more lights example remember this from your link

Okay so you want to know how to connect them?

Sorry I can't draw I'm on a stupid phone Pick one side either positive or negative Just put the slip ring wire connections
In between your lights and the power supply that's it...

how can i use existing supplies like mentioned in post 32
