Help understanding this car seat heater diagram

You will have to figure out where the thermistor goes on the LHS circuit, whereas the RHS circuit uses a thermistor which is directly connected to the controller. That also has a "TH" connection, so that may be some sort of heat control. Need more of the complete car wiring diagram(S) to figure...

    Will cleaning help?

Is it a mechanical switch that operates the different modes? If it is, you can get some switch cleaner in a spray can, get to the back of the switch and give it a good blast (no power applied), then while the cleaner is still wet, rotate the switch through it's range a few times. Let it dry out...

    LED Supply Mounting

I don't know your type of location (house, apartment, etc), but how about mounting it in the next room, through the wall? I have seen this done and the supply ended up high on the wall in a closet with plenty of airflow. The supply also came in from this area.

Removing Components for Testing versus On Board Testing

Yep, both are specialized fields which are not learned by watching a couple of youtube videos. I'm sure a brain surgeon would be confused trying to use a megger, just as I would be trying to work on someone's temporal lobe.

Removing Components for Testing versus On Board Testing

"Service Manuals" don't really exist for most equipment. If you can find a circuit diagram on the internet somewhere, good luck. Experience will tell you what the voltages should be approximately, then you have to work your way back to see why that voltage is not as suspected. What you want to...

    After some advice please

If it's a new TV from a retailer and you have opened it up, you have voided your warranty. Have you tried moving the terminal to a safe spot and powering up again? If it blows the house fuse again, well, it's dead. It may just fire up if you're lucky.

Learning Electronics for Everyday Practical Reasons Non-Professional

Fixing something doesn't mean just replacing parts. The fault-finding is about 80% of it. Then you have to see if you have a part, or one can be sourced, or you modify something to fit. This all comes with years of experience, no textbook or Youtube clip will give you this. You have to make...

    Slow down AC fan speed

It's probably a shaded pole motor, so a light dimmer should work. To run it at low speed you will have to start the controller about midway and turn it down.

Dyson V8 bypass sensors and alternative power supply

If you are just trying to vac out a vessel. refrigeration vacuum pumps can be bought cheaply and are designed to run for many hours. A simple in line valve can be used for control.

    Help intex pool light.

Was the switch a normal mechanical switch, or a touch switch? You can "fool" a touch switch by connecting a capacitor in series with a mechanical switch across the "sense" terminals.

    Hp power use

The 3/4 HP will draw more than the 1/2 HP (560w or 370w). Did you change the pump/electric motor or just the motor.? If you are using the same pump with a bigger motor driving it, there's your increase.

    Help identifying a transistor

Try putting "2N" before the numbers. Could also be a UJT in that lot as well. Have you tried getting a circuit diagram for this? You may find something on a Corvette forum.

Check individual cells of a car battery.

I use one of those load testers when I go to the scrap yard and get my car batteries. You would be surprised how many good batteries get thrown out!. The old lead acid batteries had an area at the bottom which was just a few millimeters of electrolyte and plastic supports for the lead plates...

    Are There 3 Volt MultiMeters?

You may find an analogue meter that runs on 3 volts. I still use an analogue meter when working on cars while they are running.

    15kDCV low current power supply?

How about a cheap bug zapper? I'm not sure of the output voltage, but the "tennis racket" type are cheap enough to have a play with. They are usually powered by 2 "C" cells, so 1 X 18650 should fire it up OK.

    American 220 wall heater problem...

The first picture is a thermal fuse. They will measure as a short if good. There is a temperature usually stamped on the side. The second picture is of a "Klixon" which will go open when a set temp. is reached. This is what acts as your thermostat or it could be an overload. A thermocouple is a...

limiting a heating element in a water heater?

If it is not a sealed container or system, you could get one of the cheap electronic temperature controllers from Ebay, and attach the sensor inside the vessel. Just make sure the relay on the controller can handle the current, otherwise use the relay to control a contactor.

limiting a heating element in a water heater?

"Not quite boil" means it would be operating at over 90C. Domestic water heater thermostats have an over-temp of around 75-80C. How much water do you need? You can buy stainless steel urns which will give you a lot of boiling water, and these have a variable thermostat already fitted, so you...
