    On your original circuit posted there is a Monitor switch on the door latch setup. This should be open circuit when the door is shut, its a safety switch. Its designed to blow the main fuse. All microwave ovens have this safety switch.

    The ignition coil is off a Holden Comodore, theres 3 coils on the V6 motors. I used one on a Karcher Diesel hot water pressure cleaner, as a replacement Igniter.

    You could try it but the module does need a heat sink. & keep an eye on the heat generated. Another distributor you should keep an eye out for is whats used on Ford Falcon models EA to EL. It has the same Hall sensor & the Thick Film IGN unit has built in over current cut off if the engine stops...

    Personaly I would go for components already designed for vehicle ignition systems. They are readily available & I pick them of wrecks for free that are being crushed for scrap. This is a distributor & ign module off a Mitsubishi Magna model TS. Theres 2 Hall sensors that can be salvaged as well...

    If you remove the Tube the motor wont run as the tube filament is part of the motor circuit. The motor is being used as a voltage droper for the 25V filament. This unit is an exercise in how to build a record player as cheep as possible.

    Theres 2 adjustments on the Inverter, maybe one of these will adjust the voltage. Most Inverters ive seen don't have any adjustments.

    I would start with the motor, Unplug the motor conector & feed 6v dc to the motor & see if it runs ok & not partly seized. If motor ok Check R108 & 109 these seem to be a current sensing circuit

    Over cast day is not realy a good test as the output will be severly reduced. The biggest problem is the manufacturer has tried to fit a solar panel to too small an object. You realy need a phisicly larger panel to do the job.
