The schematic calls for a 500K potentiometer. I only have 100K ones. Any thoughts?

I'm sorry..i have a typo. I meant to say C23. So, I am asking If you look at the far left, there is a 10K resistor (R3), followed by 470nF Capacitor (C23). I have a 470nf capacitor but it is polarized. Does the + terminal of the capacitor join to the 10K resistor (R3), or is it the - side?

Thank-you Nanren888. I have a bunch of diodes that I purchased. These are them: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FMM5MSF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07F7ZN695/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have two issues: 1. Do you...

Tha ks for all the help. I did reach out to the gentleman who made the unit. He sent me the li k to the video I posted, and said that this is the best he had, cause he ordinarily does his schematics on a scrap piece of paper and discards them. For clarity, he says he uses a dual op ampbe cause...

To Short or not to Short- that is the question

I need to re-do this. I did it while tired and rushed and that probably accounts for thre failure. if it fails again, when i re-do it, i will post it Thank-you

    A Stretch

ok...so this next project is a stretch for me, as it is probably beyond my capabilities- but only enough to force me out of my comfort zone. It is a schematic on how to build an overdrive guitar pedal- which i am very interested in The guy who built this was kind enough to forward this...

To Short or not to Short- that is the question

Thanks guys. Just learning about flip flops. I breadboarded this tonight but it failed. Likley because it is not well labeled in certain spots. I'll try what you suggested Naren888

To Short or not to Short- that is the question

Can someone help me interpret this schematic below My question relates to Pins 2, 3 and 4 on the 555 Timer. Does this schematic require that Pin2 be shorted to Pin 3 and pin 3 be shorted to Pin 4? I am thinking not but I am not sure. Thank-you

    Technique questions

These questions are not geared toward any particular circuit, but these issues come uop from time to time, and I am wondering how people proceed: 1. I've built some circuits where a whole bunch of wires, (let;'s say 20 wires), all are to connect to a ground, or to a pin on another component...

Yes...thanks. I will loop back to that link. Sorry, I have had so many references, it is hard to keep track. I will need to start bookmarking stuff

    Circuit recommendation?

I have finally completed a circuit that lights up a red heart that flashes. Thanks for all of your help on another thread. I am looking to do part two. Part two is as follows: I will be using a 2" X 2.75 " PCB board I will need to spell two first names. And a plus sign in the middle of the...

    Powering LEDs Question

I was not concerned about the wire. I was wondering. If the resistors were bunched into one connecting point, could they form a super resistor or will they all maintain their same resistance values

    Powering LEDs Question

I think I will stick to the original schematic, only because I don't see hsving to leave this circuit on for a lomng period of tiem, thus i am not overly concerned about battery drain. I have a question though. If in the diagram, I decided to twist together all the resistor leads, and then...

    Powering LEDs Question

Below is a picture of a circuit I am building on a PCB board. I could not figure out how to make the picture bigger, so if it is difficult to see, you can see it full size at. :32 here: You will note that the schematic calls for a number of individual 560R resistors that are attached to...

    Quick n Dirty answer needed

You are right. I moved it to 9 volts and it began flashing. Now, the flash rate is a. little slow. Can I replace something to speed it up? I am guessing that If I reduce the 100 K resistor to a lower value? P.S. I can't believe it's working. Thanks for all of your patience and help.
