    electric kettle shorts

What do you mean by..."it shorts".... If on a safety switch, probably still has a low test.

"Portable" system to output power from solar to a notebook

20 volt would not be sufficient due to any regulator losses. When all is considered, the Op is probably better off just to buy a spare battery or two.

Tektronix 465 oscilloscope with garbled display

Start looking in the power supply section, mainly for any electrolytics that are bulging, leaking or simply have a low capacity or esr test. For the latter, removal would be essential.

"Portable" system to output power from solar to a notebook

You will not get 8 hours from a solar panel, not usable at least. Using an inverter would be just another "power waste" link in the chain. Best would be a battery system to drive the laptop directly and as laptops already have a battery, then efficient charging would be best approach. Most...

    Tube bias circuit

In your supplied diagram, you can see a ground symbol just above the 30uF/400v capacitor. I'm guessing that would be the chassis but you can track where it connects.

I want to make a speed limiter for my motorcycle

Easiest method I can think of would be to tap into the ignition kill switch for the first section. You do not say whether your "speed limiter" is engine speed or bike speed, however....... Tap into either using say a hall effect switch and compare that speed with a reference speed in the...

Want to charge 350 mah battery with tp4056 but current is too high

Problem with using pots in these circumstances, is, as most already know, the pot can be screwed to one end and create a short condition, not good for the whole shebang.

Want to charge 350 mah battery with tp4056 but current is too high

There is a small modification where one changes the sense resistor (R3) to give apropriate charge rates. The manufacturer spec even includes recommended values. Link to one particular video on how to............

I want to make a speed limiter for my motorcycle

Note that highly illegal for road use in many countries. Also if you use a microcontroller, many manufactures have conditions of use in place which prohibits their use in cases of possible "health and safety".

Yeah, well, many times this approach gets blown out of the water with the "suck it and see method based on experience".

Headphone cable/wire identification & where to get it to repair headphones

I am well aware of how to solder enamelled copper wire but in this instance, given the wire gauge, it will disintegrate under your process.

problem with 48vdc motor destroys relay

As Minder has quoted, use an automotive relay . Being 24v coil, most truck relays should suffice. I imagine the motor is on load when switching on and off........if so, they can draw quite an amount of startup current, at least 4 times full load. Given that, I would tend to use a starter...

Headphone cable/wire identification & where to get it to repair headphones

It could be fine enamelled copper wire but I doubt it......more likely "tinsel flex" given the description as being "nice and flexible". As such it would not take any soldering as it is aluminium (basically). Even the previous suggested enamelled copper wire would not be "solder friendly" unless...

Mini Quadcopter As a web camera or FPV

Well, knock me over with a feather but if that were true, good chance you would not be here asking. If modification to the existing system is what you are after, perhaps you should have made that clear in the beginning. Only advice that can be forwarded in that case would be to ask around on...
