Portable Battery Charging Pod for E-Bike Trailer

Not so. The average male can output approx. 1/7hp for a very limited time. This has previously been covered elsewhere in this forum I believe. As the video shows, this bloke produced 0.021kWh of energy which is 21Wh....which is 1750mAh in a 12v system. And this guy is built like a brick...

Portable Battery Charging Pod for E-Bike Trailer

That is how it usually works. Given it is a 1 wire unit, without any further details, ( a bit iffy) one would assume that is all which would be required. I would tend to use a fuse link of some description between the alternator output and the battery. You do realise you linked to an alternator...

"precision" current measurement project design review/ check

As far as I can see , the whole arrangement is dependant on the accuracy of the resistance.

Portable Battery Charging Pod for E-Bike Trailer

Show a circuit or the model/brand of alternator you intend to use. I imagine you are aware, if you've ever taken notice of the installation in an auto, that the alternator is geared up, so essentially runs at approximately 3 to 4 times that of the engine. At a little above idle which is where...

Portable Battery Charging Pod for E-Bike Trailer

So you have a battery driving a motor , motor then driving a bike which has a trailer, to which you hook an alternator to recharge the battery. Is that about the strength of it..? If it is, then No, it won't work.

    Arduino Resets -- Why?

    1. Add a couple of 0.1uF ceramics on both sides. 2. Relay , if this type below(cannot see on your photo) already has a freewheeling diode. 3. If above then already has a driver transistor (Q1) 4. Something not right if the regulator is hot........ the voltage difference will have a lot to do...

    Solar cell power

An option here might be to run the motor from say 4 or 5 NiMh rechargable cells in series and then use the panels in series to charge the battery. Some form of regulator or isolating diode may be necessary betweem the panel and battery.

To control the Infrared food warming lamp

When it comes to food, In commercial use at least, the temperature must be held between certain levels and is only accurate with a thermostat rather than a simmerstat as you have shown. Thermostat type are the ones with the capiliary tube and temperature sensing bulb. They will be capable in...

Diode that only allows continuity at 13.5v ?

Correct. Points to a fault in the internal regulator. You say the battery is charging properly but is it..?? Might be time to visit your local auto lecky as it might be over your head, this one.

    Treadmill stuck on one speed

Most you could probably cover is to first ensure nothing is powered from the mains. i.e. unplugged. Then go through any clip together connections and check they are all in place. Quite often, things get pulled out during any move.(storage) Assuming here you have already checked the power outlet...

Diode that only allows continuity at 13.5v ?

Do you have details of your alternator? Some will have an "L" terminal which is for a charge/no charge lamp. Power is applied to the lamp via the ignition switch and the ground return of the lamp connects to the "L" terminal.
