Much better to describe the fault instead of what you think is what needs fixing.

    9014 Direct Replacement???

It has me beat why they insist on switching on the high side. So simple to use an n-channel mosfet ( logic level if required) and take the LEDs to ground.

Use a decent mosfet and you can add the LEDs till the cows come home.

As above, show the details of the mixer...i.e. model, brand, spec sheet, schematics, photos, whatever you can lay your hands on. If you want help, it's your job to do the ground work.

    Motomaster battery charger has failed

Looks like localised bad connections given parts of this same circuit are in series. Usually these show up under load /extra load conditions.

Should a line tester light up when inserted into grounding socket?

As previously stated, those "neon type" screwdrivers can send one on a wild goose chase. It may well be a serious fault somewhere in your installation or it could be due to a broken or improper earth. Rodents tend to chew hell out of the insulation but when it gets to the copper they usually...

Should a line tester light up when inserted into grounding socket?

Definitely one with a qualified electrician on the end of it. Live earth is a highly serious event and should be investigated by one qualified to do so.

    Diode Help

Read the values of what..? You stated the original diode was faulty. Old gear can be troublesome as in many instances there is no longer/if ever any schematics to go by. Comes a time when it just has to go.

    Connecting non-solderable wires

I can foresee this ending in a complete mess. Just use a crimplink or a ceramic terminal block and be done with it.

    Easy Wiring Question

I'd advise you get an electrician before you kill someone. Your statements make it clear you have absolutely no idea what you are doing and never will.

    Motomaster battery charger has failed

Button diodes would be the correct name i believe. As for the Fig.1, as they say in Thailand , same same.....diodes are different polarity, principle the same. The part number from the diode would be a good start when looking for replacement. When replacing the diodes, do the whole 4, not just...
