wanting to buy a new scope

My $400.00 scope went in the 2013 flood and have managed to get by on a basic $40.00 unit ever since with Arduino plus many other applications.

    Cat6 and Cat5

shouldn't be a problem as properly installed cat5 or cat6 should have a minimum bend radius anyhow.

My TV won't pick up local channels

Firstly, you will need to state which country you are in and which state and region. Are the channels digital ? Perhaps the model of the TV and a link to what antenna exactly you bought would help.

3 Phase Motor - 3 Individual Circuit Breakers - Detect if 1 Breaker Tripped And Shut Down Motor

In many countries, the use of 3 single phase breakers on a 3 phase motor would be illegal. Yes I do realise in the "old days" that three single fuses were used but times change and for the better most times. Just as it is illegal here in Aus to use fuses in new or replacement/repair...

Toggle between 2 LEDs on separate circuits in the same circuit?

Starting query would be why would one need to operate the cooling fans manually as they are already controlled automatically via temperature dependant controllers which keep the system at the ideal temperature.

Sauna Steam Generator - Bypass ne555 timer?

I'd say, no way. There's a microcontroller in there monitoring inputs and controlling various outputs to give an ideal outcome. Timing would be embedded in the programming and via the controller. Bypassing anything would, I'd imagine, cause all sorts of undesirable outcomes.

    Noob timer question

Garden tap timers such as the Holman shown below are a basic pulse arrangement. Actually current consumption is rather small and they operate on a small 9v smoke alarm battery for months on end. Problem there is, expensive and also one would need some electronics experience to hack into the...

    Remote control beach trolley.

By remote, do you mean via a hand held transmitter or by a "follow me " basis..?? As you say you have no idea on wiring etc. it might be a good idea to get your feet wet by starting with a much smaller model. As it stands, there is a hell of a lot more to it than just a battery, actuator and a...

    single-phase motor speed control

Single phase split phase motors such as you make reference to have their speed controlled via the number of poles in the windings and cannot be speed controlled via other external means. When used on lathes and such, their output can be varied by the use of differing sized pulleys via vee belt.

Need help interpreting something on a schematic

    1. 150k pot 2. Input..... (input) positive pin LM308 3. No idea...depends on the application(no details of input other than "guitar" provided)

FAAC XT4 868 SLH remote control frequency emission

Well, is it or isn't it. Easy job to check. Be very surprised if it does.

How to protect battery from a power adapter?

Would make more sense to ensure this cannot happen in the first place. Years gone by, manufacturers would make the power supply inlet a self switchable unit (plug operates switch in the socket)

I can foresee surface mount bits falling off or destroyed all over.

    In-Car CCTV project

Perhaps take a look at some of the FPV cameras. Thet can be either PAL or NTSC and have audio as well as video. Ones I use here are around $15 and can, if required, be connected to a transmitter or other forms of recording/monitoring devices. 170 degree and clear image so maybe not as many...

    tinning

Same here.... as for which product...if you are talking of the simple wire tinning, then same solder as one uses on the pc board. There are other forms of what is referred to as tinning on bus bars or heavy bare copper conductors. This usually takes the form of a paste where the bar is warmed...

Reversing polarity through signal from mouse switch

Any details on those micro switches...cannot see from the photo. Do they have changeover contacts or are they either normally open or normally closed..?

Reversing polarity through signal from mouse switch

You will need more gear than you presently have there. Is it important which way it travels to begin with...?? Latching will be required with each micro switch operating as a limit for a particular direction. Then the motor needs to stop (perhaps only momentarily) before continuing on in the...

can I start dc motor with (ultra)concentrator and manual switch

On the contrary, many here will help in many ways without any prejudice. Gets difficult as you may imagine, when faced with terms that are self made and detail that is non existent or so far out there that it makes no sense. Many times there are language barriers but many will try their best to...
