    Bass Extender

Hi Audioguru, I don’t think my hearing could identify the distortion in a “modern” tube amp like this one: K4040.pdf

    Help with Sleeping-Aid plzz!!

Hi Guys, To eliminate the possibility of ”humbug” it could be altered to simulate waves from a very active brain set to wake you up like an alarm clock instead! 8)  At times I could use one! ;D

    ADC0832 Interfacing

I am sorry but I have to ask: Isn’t ADC082 an A/D Converter, not an op amp?

    Speed control motor

Hi Alun, The motor looks like it might have a tacho or some other kind of feedback attached to its end.

Hi alkv, Maybe someone can help you if you post some pictures of the circuit board and the burned parts.

    Cleaning potentiometers

Hi Nid, If you are desperate enough you might try reducing the difference by moving one of the tracks slightly. I don’t know the mechanical construction of the type you’ve got but it might be possible and worth a try if there is nothing else wrong with it. Each track is sometimes made on a...

Hi Audioguru, I think you’ve got a dishonest computer! ;D I tried cleaning out the cookie folder but it did not help.  :P

    assistance

Hi jojo, Welcome to our forum. Do you want to start from scratch or do you like to copy some ideas from a known circuit? Is it perhaps this circuit you are thinking of: http://www.electronics-lab.com/projects/motor_light/025/index.html

    Regen braking question.

Regenerative braking is supposed to recharge the battery under braking and the circuit must in some way channel the power back to the battery. I think we need to know more about your circuit before you can get any good answer.

    Outout of a transformer!

I think it is simple: The transformer ratio will decide the output voltage, not the source of the input voltage!

    adjustable switching PSU 0-30v 0-5A

Hi Guys, First I like to say: don’t omit the isolation between the input and the output, it might be fatal. Which circuit is the starting point for this project, is there a schematic? It would be easier to follow your thoughts if we all could see what you are working on! ;)

    cheap car turbo timer

Unless it’s a crappy low budget car this would work automatically, the cooling fan will run if and as long as it is necessary after you have shut down and left your car. The only thing you have to remember is let the engine run on idle a couple of seconds before shutting it down to let the...

    Cleaning potentiometers

Hi tnk2k, You are correct, most of the time it’s a write-off but sometimes it can be dirt and dust. Slider-pots especially are more exposed due to their construction. Not all pots have carbon inside, many have a cermet “track” inside which do not wear out as easy as carbon.

    Cleaning potentiometers

Hi Nid, I wouldn’t recommend cleaning any pots at all but when I have to because it can’t be replaced I have used video drum cleaning spray with some success. I flood them completely and work them hard for a minute or so repeating this a few times. But no promises!  ;D

“Somebody said that a perfect amplifier is a piece of wire with gain.  ” This is equal to a superconductor…  or? ;D

    TAG8739 Replacement

Hi Decade, As far as I know all “TAG” are triacs or thyristors but further than this I can’t help you unless you have a schematic.  ;)
