    Hi Dazza, Windows 98se will swallow about 200Mb of the harddrive, what size is yours? I don’t think you should try XP, it will never work! Maybe W2000 will run but if you have 98se this is the way to go. 8)

    Hi Dazza, The floppy cable! That’s what Ed suggested earlier, I thought you checked that one! ;D  I have a vague memory of a help file describing how to make floppy’s from the cd on the W95 cd but it might not work if your XP system has the NTFS file system. 8)

    Hi Cody, Maybe you could make some sheet metal rings inside each other mounted on hinges, below the hinges a small switch connected to a timed latch. The contraption mounted inside a tube to catch the ricochets and fragments.  Way out, isn’t it?  8)

    On many lead acid batterys the discharge time is indicated like 12 V 4.5Ah/5h. This means that 5hours is the shortest discharge time in which you can expect 4.5Ah from this battery.

    Since the motor runs in both directions I don’t think it would reduce the interference if you ground the motor body. This is what the caps are for.

    OK, here I have drawn the caps on the motor. Shortest possible leads are most effective. I hope the motor has a metal can or this will be hard to accomplish.

    Well, the LB1640 has a built in brake circuit so I wouldn’t worry too much about the EMF it’s taken care of inside the chip. But doesn’t it get hot from the abuse of changing direction without stopping, how big is your motor (W)?
