How do I reduce the speed of a 12v childrens car

I just see batteries. I don't see any controller, Is that an accelerator linkage or ? Is that it at the top of the picture? Not the best solution, but is there any means of limiting the stroke of the rod? M.

What are these sections of this power supply?

One confusing detail is that the P.S. shows the power common referenced to chassis, and the amp referenced to Earth GND. Looking at the site it appears to come from, I am wondering if these are originally from two different sources? What is it supposed to be? M.

How do I reduce the speed of a 12v childrens car

Presumably a DC brushed motor, Depending on the type of controller you have, you could first try reducing the supply by removing a battery (or maybe two). More on the type of controller would help, but it should not do any damage by trying the battery reduction first. If there is a built in...

Sourcing a horizontal rotary encoder supplier.

Is this a part of a RC system? If so probably a proprietary OEM part. Have you tried HobbyKing? Google brings up all kind of sources! M.

    Dishwasher making a buzzing noise

Observe the point in the cycle that the buzzing occurs, e.g. if filling or draining, AC solenoids can make an annoying buzz when uneven seating of the armature occurs. M.

Hello Fellow Boardronauts + Question re: replacement power supply variance

For permanent installations or usage, I much prefer linear power supplies over SMPS, of which I generally only use for temporary situations. M.

    Question about using two SMPS.

I think I would at least start from the way the manufacturer suggests at least, It would be the correct start point for trouble shooting. M.

    Question about using two SMPS.

Did you try hooking them up in the way I said -S to -V etc.? It might pay to spend a little time on them as they are superior to any modern SMPS out of China. Electrolytics dry out etc. M.

    Question about using two SMPS.

One on ebay for $100 , but you could buy a new supply for less. Why do you need to replace? M.

    Question about using two SMPS.

Certainly not the typical or Manuf. suggested way of using them. If left unconnected, the output usually does not work. M.

    Question about using two SMPS.

Something does not look right, the output should Not be connected over to the AC input, the S terminals are for remote sense, if used, If unused, they should each be connected to their respective + & - output terminals. If using two supplies, simply connect the -ve output on one to the +ve...

    Question about using two SMPS.

I don't see any problem, the output is typically isolated from each other, more info on the application would help. M.

    Motor Speed Sensor.

If you have the schematic correct, and developed in a PCB software (e.g. Free Kicad) to layout the traces then it will throw up an error if any traces are missing/wrong etc. If you just hand layed the traces or sent wrong gerbers, then the professional board producers don't know if you sent it...

Is a motor also a dynamo?

Where did you get that from,?? Every DC generator I have installed or worked on has the brushes set at 90° to the field, just as DC motors do that are capable of bidirectional control, and generation, which is the vast majority. Including Edison's original! M.
