    A good test for driver and LED compatibility is to add a small incandescent lamp/bulb across the live and neutral supply to the driver. If flicker stops, it’s obviously not compatible.

    It would be interesting to know the exact current of the soldering iron. You say the soldering iron is 3A max but the power supply is 2A.

    Hi, the 6151 has an IEC socket which I presume is older than the 6152?. What is the problem with adding one if it doesn’t?. It’s only the mains input. Or are you talking about something else?.

    Very likely a ribbon cable broken or any wire for that matter. You will have to check each wire for continuity. But having no buttons working, does give an indication of what wires/ribbons to check. From main board to the board with the buttons.

    Sounds like the op wants to use push to make switches as limit switches. Hobby train set enthusiasts have been doing this for decades using only diodes. The train goes along the track, stops, then reverses to the beginning again. This repeats for as long as power is present.

    The main problem would be that both chargers could potentially force current into each other. There are ways around that by using diodes on each charger output. But I think you have more issues than that. Buy the correct charger for your equipment.
