to hire someone who knows s/w turn ckt-diag into PCB Gerber fabrication files

How complex is the PCB? Can you post a schematic and a picture of any bare PCBs you have on the forum. Thanks Adam

    PNP Transistor to Drive LED

I was trying to weed out why it is better to have a resistor to protect the PN junction from excess current and yes in the circuit above it's fine. I wanted the OP to think about a situation when the PN junction left like that could damage the transistor. But it didn't quite work out :) Cheers Adam

math problem, I lost my marbles it seems

That's the first one done with a good clue from Harald. Thanks Adam

math problem, I lost my marbles it seems

Ok lets start by removing those brackets and the division sign... Do you know where to start? Adam

How sweet it is to be an idiot

And science in my opinion is very much alive, just recently they have proved that Ghosts don't exist. Well not in any other form than short lived blobs of energy. And this is not meant to start a debate :) Adam

    PNP Transistor to Drive LED

But what about the other PN junction? Are there any issue there. The reason I said for you to look at the data sheet was to get you thinking, knowing full well the maximum rating for what I was looking for wouldn't be there. And why isn't is specified? What limitations dose this have on the...

    PNP Transistor to Drive LED

Ok so that's probably going to be a 2N2907. Have a look at the data sheet under maximum ratings. Especially look for something related to the junctions of the transistor. See any issue that might arise? Cheers Adam

    PNP Transistor to Drive LED

Hi John. What transistors are you using, that's the part number of the part. Welcome to EP BTW. Thanks Adam

    R/C Relay Driver

What current does the relay draw from 5 Volts? That's quite a low value base drive resistor you have. The max collector current for the BC547 is 100 mA so pushing more current into the base than is needed serves no purpose. And you might actually damage the transistor. Please supply the specs or...
