    I have done this with CD4069 configured as a latch and the output of the latch disables the other buttons from being pressed. You can add as many as you need. Thanks Adam

    Yep RC servos was what I was thinking also Bluejets. You could put a straight horn on it and drive it to 90 degrees with PWM. Thanks Adam

    You would be better off measuring the voltages rather than assuming a colour preference. In the security industry for vehicle wiring we use black so no one can tell which is which :) Adam

    Your project will use what ever energy the laws of physics have decided on :) It won't matter if you have a larger power supply with much more potential energy, as long as the voltage stays within the desired range then you won't use more energy than required to produce a current of 20 mA Thanks...
