    In terms of Khan academy I simply didn't engage enough to be able to rate it. I have friends who love it and rate it highly. I think I realize also I engage better with text books, it;s harder to ignore a text book on a coffee table than a website :)

    Hey, thanks for your reply I hope i understand I don't need the output to reach the peaks to further control anything by voltage, the output is an audio out which usually goes straight into a filter.

    I also realise I haven't checked to see if where I am planning the PSU to go in my synth is ok. As far as i can understand the most sensitive circuits in the synth are the oscillators (they are temperature controlled with a dual pair of transistors) so i have them on the opposite side from the PSU.
