    testing electrical equipment

If you want your equipment to be put on the market in Europe and it operates from the mains you have to test to the LVD. Part of these tests include transient response. This is IEC 61000-4-xx and below shows a chart of test level criteria for power ports and I/O. Thanks Adam

    testing electrical equipment

Why... it happens all the time in other countries also. Next time you wire a plug, take note of the distance between the terminal. Why are they that far away? Adam

Help with ADC conversion registers in PIC or possible logic in code flaw

Ok if they switch thats great. But you have a compiler for assembler and they dont do that lol. Adam

    RC Time Constant

Who said that? If it matches the graph it's right. I wanted you to tell me and you did. Adam

    RC Time Constant

The energising of a capacitor with a resistor doesn't follow a straight line. It follows a curved line (exponential) which is what the formula is telling you. This is why you cant think of a straight line and go along for 1 second and then read the voltage on the Y axis because the answer with...

Help with ADC conversion registers in PIC or possible logic in code flaw

Its not just for the A/D. Look where the TRIS register is. Its in bank 2, so dont you have to switch banks to set the ports up? Adam

Help with ADC conversion registers in PIC or possible logic in code flaw

Hello John. You have two banks in this micro. Not sure about C but in assembler you have to switch banks using banksel. This allows you to amend the registers you need. Then you switch back to bank 1 after that. Just a thought. Cheers Adam

    RC Time Constant

No that's not right. Does it sound right to you? Also charge is not a unit of capacitance. Have a look at the link. http://www.cse.yorku.ca/~mack/1010/ExcelExample-CapacitorCharging.htm Adam

    Design Spark PCB

You need to choose forward design changes option in tools not translate to PCB, use this after you have done the initial translate. Thanks Adam

Adding a spur to a radial circuit (UK)

I think it was quite common in the UK to use a radial circuit in garages that only had one socket for say a freezer or something. Just had a quick Google and the term radial circuit and garages pop up quite a bit. But I might be wrong. Adam
