    LCD replacement

Best bet would be to get one of those universal LCD driver boards for the LCD you actually have - get one with an input that your (dud) TV set can actually output i.e. composite video, HDMI-out etc.

Retro 'Game Boy' key ring watch - REPAIR

zebra strip is sized to suit the gap - not all pieces will fit. Can you show a picture of the LCD side? Maybe the strip is still adhering to the other part of the unit? They are commonly in a molded plastic 'slot' anyway.

Correct Diode for Toshiba TV no power

Don't - yet. Those MUR4 diodes come in different voltage ratings and you must chose the correct one else risk damage elsewhere. Do you have the specification, make/model for the set? Or a schematic?

    Hello - RF delay line

Check your TV control menu for adjustment of sound/vision synchronisation. Many sets include this function as there are known issues.

    Flash varification error for atmega128

You may not be able to get rid of it - it seems as if one memory location is faulty. This happens (occasionally) and all you can do is replace the processor.

create circuit for on and off on second press only

Look at the 'condition' of the switches and tell us which 'action' is actually causing the event. The key is the 'edges' of the signal.

    5x7 pcb enclosure?

Too non-specific. You don't usually purchase an enclosure 'exactly' the size of the PCB. What controls are required? Inputs? Outputs? You'd normally only purchase an enclosure for a completed PCB/project rather than 'in advance' for bare boards......

TUSCANY or ELECTROMATIC CLOTHES DRYER DRIVE BELT

If you have the old belt it is common practice to visit stores that carry such spares and just 'match it up' to anything they have off the shelf. There may even be some markings on the belt to give pointers to it's size etc.

    Servo Tester Issue

Any lack of movement of the servo could be catered for in a suitably pinioned lever arrangement to increase the physical movement.

    My brand new oscilloscope

The HV diodes I have in my junk box tend to be three times the length of those! Such are the improvements in semiconductor manufacture I suppose? What you propose re series resistor (or even a zener - which sounds like a better solution to me) sounds perfectly acceptable. You're lucky to have...

Lab Volt Model 790A will not power up

'fraid you're going to have to do more work on dismantling in order to resolve this issue. The board needs to be completely out of the case and we need close-up pictures of both the component side and the track side of the board. You should be able to do this without disconnecting any of the...

    Power inverter for car?

The cigarette lighter socket will be fused at 10A, possibly 20A maximum therefore limiting the power to 120/240 watts (less in reality and certainly less for safety sake). Power inverters really should be wired directly to the battery and have uprated wiring and appropriate fusing at the battery.

    INA219 battery voltage reading error

PGA?? Did you read the datasheet? Another possibility is that there is a dry solder joint somewhere adding additional resistance where it isn't needed.

    Sending sms with microcontroller

You will need a GSM module with (the usual) serial interface that accepts the data in the format it requires to be sent. There are many such modules available - a lot of them are intended for add-on to alarm systems to allow SMS messaging to be sent when something is set off. They have...

LED lights gone dim but still flash bright

Can't see anything burned but there may be a poor soldered joint that could make a difference if repaired. As you state, these things are too cheap to take risks with.

Lab Volt Model 790A will not power up

Schematics for these types of equipment aren't easy to come by. However it is often possible to make very good guesses based on the actual component layout and associated circuitry. Post clear images of the board and its surroundings. You will need to resize them for the forum - say 800x600...

    Power inverter for car?

Electric jug? Potentially 1000W so draining 83A (but more likely 100A after inefficiencies) from your car battery? Good luck with that! The risk of fire from poor connections is high.... When it comes to using high power equipment it is far better to go for the simplest solution involving...

    xenon lamp trigger

Presumably you're talking about the 'straight red line'? This usually wraps around the xenon tube and doesn't actually connect to anything on the tube itself.

Panasonic DMR-E75V VCR/DVD Recorder combo player - Lost power

Rectifier seems most likely. There will be AC across two pins and DC out the middle one. This DC will go to one of the capacitors you removed. Put the capacitor back and see if you can measure anything across it.

Replacement power supplier for that device are all over eBay at around $10. Hardly worth the effort.
