    Sounds about right. With the capacitors refitted are you getting DC across any of them? On the SECONDARY side of the transformer that is... There's another device on a heatsink below the transformer - is this a regulator? Can you measure any DC on the pins?

    It looks a lot like plugs found on the rear of marine equipment, the likes of GPS and plotters.... and THEY were all exclusive to the manufacturer.... After a (good) few years some appeared as after-market connectors but would invalidate the warranty if used on OEM equipment.
