    Tesla automobiles?

They could use the standard supplied key fob but instead chose to use their phone app. I stupidly used my phone to pay for bus travel. EE (my phone network) went down. I didn’t have my wallet with oyster or bank card. I was lucky, the bus driver let me continue my journey. Moral: don’t rely on...

    Product life question

Trolling again?? Things fail. That’s why there are warranties. Things fail due to age. That’s why we fix things. Things fail. That’s why we have recycle centres. Members get banned. That’s why we have forum moderators. Martin

Need help with FM transmitter "adaptation" in photo

One other little point. The video is in open space without the usual walls, ceilings, routers or metal car. Any device will transmit further under those conditions. A 1km range radio can transmit 10km if the conditions are right. Martin

Post a photo of the button layout. Somebody here may be able to see what trace needs fixing. But I count at least 7 traces that look bad. Martin

How to fix AC and Ans Button on fx-9750g plus calculator.

The component side looks like it needs more repairs to broken traces. A few have been previously repaired. Use a multimeter in continuity mode and check the traces that immediately stand out. Some of the soldering is very poor and the battery contact looks cracked. I’m actually surprised that...

Why I need a capacitor in parallel to micro limit switch

Try using a heavier gauge wire if 4 meters work and 6 meters doesn’t. You say ‘two way’. Do you mean two core wire? Which is 4 meters? So a round trip is 8 meters through the switch? Martin

Multimedia LED light/sound project with multiple zones. Help!!!

Just to add: YouTube has loads of Halloween type synced LED lighting with computer controlled scenes and music. Some show how to do it and what controller to use. Some share their code and some show the wiring. It is very effective and time consuming. I suggest you sit down and watch quite a few...

Small motor with 104 cap bridge between terminals.

I checked some of my 1k + Scalextric car motors. All have 103 or 104 ceramics. All 12V DC. Removing the cap does nothing except interfere with radio reception. Martin

    Yamaha HS8 suddenly stopped working

Depending on the power supply, you might find a simple diode has gone open circuit in the bridge rectifier. Can you supply photos of the board? Martin

I would first place the battery on the charger and then measure the voltage across it. It might stabilise around 14-15 volts. Martin

1977 Clock Radio Alarm sound only full volume

From your pictures, I can see corrosion on the switch. I would start with cleaning the switches and potentiometers ( volume etc) with a switch/contact cleaner. Squirt the cleaner in the switches and then vigorously move them. Same for the pot (vol). repeat a couple of times and all should be...
