    10,000μF 63V would be appropriate. They'll be a lot smaller (physically) than the originals so easy enough to fit. If they are board-mounted you could even drill a hole to cable-tie them down.

    Physical distance between the contacts wouldn't make any difference. It's the contacts themselves that heat up (via the current flow) so they don't require to be 'touching' (or even near to each other).

    What are the components? Where is the input and output? Why are B+ and A- shorted?

    No. The switch is bi-metallic and uses the heat from the current flow to open/close the contacts. In THEORY you could parallel them but unless they switched at IDENTICAL times one switch will end up carry all the current and be damaged.

    They are 'pentawatt' package devices and integrated audio amplifiers potentially TDA2003 or TDA2030 etc. As they are all identical (U1,2,3,4 etc) can you see any identification marks on any of them?

    AFAIAA the minimum coverage you can get is Third Party where your insurance covers the other persons expenses/loss but not your own. If this is the case then you must consider your own vehicle as 'not worth fixing' in the event of an accident - or not worth worrying over if it's stolen perhaps...

    No - it doesn't help (you). The 'fat' plug will contain interfacing electronics that convert the ODBII signal to ethernet. It's not a simple matter of 'attaching plugs/wiring' - you MUST have the conversion electronics. There is no other way to do this.

    To what purpose? If all you're doing is extending the cable using different connectors then chose whatever cable colour and pin connection you prefer. If you think you can connect the output of the ODBII to a 'network' you're wrong. You can't.
