As always we are taking our time.;) Assuming both results are with the Jumpers in the IC socket The "top" MOC measurement is not as expected. The "bottom" one is o.k. Did you measure the AC voltages on the resistors? They are not as expected. So we always get 0V on them? Please measure the...

#226 is without jumpers in the IC socket? What are the diode voltages in this case? Need to use jumpers in the IC socket and re-measure as well.

Need help with my first DIY project

What you need is a DC to DC step down converter You need to set the output to 13V it can handle 3A (more than the solar pannel can supply.

    HV diode

"Avg. Forward Voltage Drop 28V" That is high compared to VF =9V(max) of the T3509 and 10V of the the T3512 I wouldn't replace it with that. Here is the T3512 for 0.99$ ,use it.

You can use the 12KV one, should work fine. What is the marking on it?

The fuzz is of no importance remove/cut it . The bare wire(s) are shield/GND. So,How many insulated wires are you left with, one red and one white ?

With everything in it's place. Please check the AC voltage on the resistors with/without a short in the IC sockets. and at the same time the DC voltage on pins 1 and 2 of the opto-Triacks MOC3020. A total of 4 AC readings and 4 DC readings. See pic below

Make a relay switch? Like a mosfet high amp.

o.k Is it a Lithium battery bank that you need to connect/disconnect from a load? What side of the connection + or - ,do you need to switch?

I'm trying to understand. After the replacement of the Triacs to BTA8 and with resistors connected ,without "Triack shorts" i.e the normal connection: Does the " IC sockets shorting" have the effect of on/off on the voltages of the diodes?Or do you still get the voltages all the time(no...

    HV diode

Well, The 12KV diode is a proper replacement. It has a higher voltage breakdown which is fine and a bit higher forward voltage drop which is less fine, but should be O.K. see the datasheet here I think it should be possible to get the diode one you have from a Sharp service center near you. Or...

Make a relay switch? Like a mosfet high amp.

Well a 12V car Solenoid is not what you need(it needs 12V to operate). You need a solid-state relay (SSR) What is it you actually need to switch (voltage range and Max. current)?

Make a relay switch? Like a mosfet high amp.

"I want to make my own sort of mosfet"... Well if you can do that ,there is nothing stopping you from making your own space-shuttle ;) A 200A circuit is never easy...in fact it is also extremely dangerous! So, in plain words you wont to build a 4.5V/200A DC controllable switch?

    Logos for electronic component manufacturers

Here is another "Logos" site has some additions to the ones Harald posted. From time to time we find new names not found on all the above sites/lists. I think we should add them here(?). What do you guys think would be the best way to do that?

While the TRiacs are pulled out,the correct reading is 107V on both diodes with the short wire in and no voltage with it out. Your marking in red is not correct , you marked a short(red)between legs 2 and 3. The blue one is between legs1 and 2 and the blue circles are the lifted resistors legs...

Help! Repairing water damaged PCB from Massage chair.

In general the BTA08 isn't a replacement for the BTA12. What is the full writing on the Triacs you pulled out? So,You did the tests with one side of the resistors lifted from the board. In that situation(resistor leg pulled-up and Triacs pulled out). What voltages do you get with the Triacs...

About the AC-motor : 1. CN1 on the main board as 5 pins, 3 of which are connected. How many wires does the motor itself have? I think there should be 3. if so ,you need to measure the resistance between them all. 2. Did you inspect/measure the Motor Capacitor? what is written on it? Warning...

From your measurements in #212(I assume on the diodes near CN13 and CN14). 1. Your line voltage is about AC119V 2. One(or 2) of the 4 diodes near CN13(marked blue) are probably open circuit or there is a bad solder there. Please check the 4 diodes "in diode test mode" with the DMM. If there is...

I am confused. Did you check CN3/CN4 Or CN13/CN14 ? The test I am after for now is the later. The yellow marking in this pic.

Let's test the voltage activation of CN13,CN14 1. Please take out the IC from the socket, and connect the main and controller boards. 2. Do not connect motors to CN13,CN14 ! and take care it is high voltage. 3. Use a jumper wire in the Empty IC socket to connect pins 4 and 6 to pin 31(Gnd)...
