    You haven't told us what your using it for. But generally, you probably want 30 or 40 watts for medium sized work. Even better, buy an adjustable temp iron. Now if your soldering stained glass windows, forget everything I said.

    If your soldering tiny delicate electronics you want lower wattage where too much heat won't destroy the components. Conversely if your soldering a big transformer case to a chassis, you'll need more heat and more wattage to do the job.

    Not a problem having speakers rated more than your amp can deliver. (But it doesn't mean a smaller amp can't blow a larger speaker). You might save some money by getting tweeters with a lower rating. Maybe 500w? But I'd size it at least as large as your drivers rating.

    According to link in post 15, it is a 3 wire 230v AC supply. Another clue that it's AC is that blue varistor between the relays. What I'm wondering is; where is the 3rd wire (black) from the motor?
