    Receiver does not show stereo light

    Make sure you have a proper antenna for FM reception (They're directional, if you're far from the transmitter). From your second post, you're apparently using an auxillary input to check if your receiver/amplifier is outputting a stereo signal. They're two different things.

    If you've got room, you might go with TO-3 package for your regulators. They'll handle more heat, if you've got room for heat sinks for them.

    There are several sizes of barrel diameters and pin sizes for this type of connector. They're all pretty common. Just find the one that fits your application.

    The PURPOSE of coax over twin lead, is to reduce spurious signals from outside the circuit from interferring with the signal on the coax cable. It reduces outside radio frequency interferrence with the operation of your instrument. (The coax braid around the signal wire in the coax does that).
