    RAM address allocation

Your PROGRAM will define where the data goes - either to a specific register or to an address in RAM.

    Vehicle sensor device

Two simple torches, sidelights etc (or a pair of cheap lasers) aimed at angles so they create two 'dots' on the rear wall work too. You reverse until the dots 'meet' (after having previously set them correctly of course!)

Component identification for old CNC router project.

Looks like you have pretty much all you need to control three axis of CNC. The steppers are 'smallish' (but that depends on what size/power CNC you're going to make) but the control board looks to be fairly competent but I'd guess they need a PC with a parallel port to run them from - not all...

    24volt inverter question

The Victron MPPT (nice to see someone using 'class' equipment....) is very efficient and you won't actually 'lose power' by setting its output to 28.4V - the correct voltage BTW - due to its switched-mode technology and 90% (ish) efficiency. Your bulk charging rate (29.6V) seems dodgy to me and...

this is not a chat site...

Far from it. I know my limitations (higher theory - only because I can't be @rsed....) but have, literally, decades of practical experience. The real answer is that I'm an old f@rt.... been around the block a few times, so to speak. Been there, seen that. I used to teach it to higher...

Circuit Element for variable current control

No, the power you consume is whatever the load is drawing - not what you set your power supply to. Where else would the power go? I've read many posts from people who think they will blow their equipment up because they are using a 3A power supply when their equipment is stated to require only...

    Optimus CD-7200 Missing Lens

If you have any old PC CDROM mechanisms lying around then take it apart on see what's 'happening' - you might get lucky.

Circuit Element for variable current control

Oh yes it will. Unless you deliberately limit the current then the load will dictate what the current is.

DIY ECM's exist for cars - not sure if they do them for bikes but there would be a strong suggestion that this is the case. An ECM is a small computer with various input and output circuits to interface with the various sensors and send voltage/current to controllers (fuel injectors etc)...

Circuit Element for variable current control

If you have a single load and two supplies the current drawn depends on the load, not the supplies. But if one supply is incapable of delivering the required current then two supplies (provided the total current supply by both, i.e. the sum) will 'self regulate' to provide the required current...

    Optimus CD-7200 Missing Lens

Given the CD track widths and the limited distance between lens and surface I suspect you'd be very, very lucky indeed to get a result!

    7809 not outputting 9v

It also helps if we can see where the wires go and not just 'bits of them'.

    Controlling Speed of Motor

The KISS principle holds good here. There are dozens of 12V motors and equally there are dozens of PWM motor speed controllers for them. It's also a lot safer messing with low voltage systems than AC mains motors - more so if your knowledge/understanding of electrics/electronics is minimal.

    Static

'Stillness' can be considered as the lack of entropy (zero energy) and 'Absolute Zero' is the epitome of it...... is my understanding.

    Help!! Control module diode identification

OMG - are you going to pick fault with every typed statement/nuance rather than address the REAL issue? I've got a wife who can do it a LOT better than you can......Have you nothing better to do to up your post count? But since you ask, NO, the fact that the diode is oozing its guts ISN'T...

Milwaukee drill with broken slider switch

The switch is only going to be available from Milwaukee and/or one of their suppliers/distributors as such manufacturers rarely use 'off the shelf' items in their designs. As 'you know' says, Google should turn up a supplier when the right search words are put in...
