    Providing the new boards you bought work in these imports, you can use either. The device will only use the current it needs. You could use 10 amps and the device will only draw what it needs.     Hi, This probably has nothing to do with it but! The AC line in side of the board. The solder joints look really dry. That fuse holder looks terrible too. It could be shadow on the photo, but a good clean and reflow of those joints would not harm. High resistance could result from these. Martin

    Can you double up on the leds you have now? Or use a reflective base to enhance the light. Use less food colouring in the water. Their are millions of options open to you. Martin
