Looking for schematic diagram/service manual of Toshiba Combi TV/DVD

Indeed, that's why I asked if he knew what it was! I saw straight away it was a fuse. But I wasn't sure if he would know due to being retired!. Do you know when these fuses were introduced? Martin

Hi Terry, This is an old'ish' thread. But if you are retired, did you have components like the red/brown cylinder type thing in the top left of your picture? Martin

what AWG cable to use for cordless drill + car battery

Yes, I watched it several times to try and see what model drill it was and missed the 'drills' battery had been replaced with a blank. I tried mine this morning (18v 4mah lio) and it did indeed draw 36 amps for a second before the circuitry shut down. I also tried my older 18v nimh's and in...

    Current Measurement Rating

I personally wouldn't put that meter anywhere near 10A or 1000v. the meter is cat111 600v. I would guess that's it's absolute maximum. And only just got cat 111 by the skin of it's teeth. youtube has many videos testing meters and Fluke tested 100's of Japanese meters. They all blew to pieces...

what AWG cable to use for cordless drill + car battery

Hi Adam, thank you for the video. I saw that ages ago and didn't believe it. It might give an initial high amperage, but cannot sustain it for more than a few seconds. Those few seconds wont open a 'ghost' gate. Why did he have a 3300mah battery powering the the meter? If the meter was in...

what AWG cable to use for cordless drill + car battery

Mr M. It sounds like you enjoy Dewalt too. I am sad and have every tool by Dewalt. Did I mention sad too? I can hand hold every single 'cordless drill' still! My diamond cutters and cores, no way!!! Even cutting a 4" flu can put me off balance, but the clutch saves me. The stall limit of a...

what AWG cable to use for cordless drill + car battery

Hi Tha fios agaibh. I was searching the net to translate that. So many possibilities. I also suppose it would depend where the fuse was located too. Anyway, this thread is like 'think outside of the box'. A brain twister.. A brain teaser? Can't think of the name. What kind of gate? Weight...

I have an in-car camera that requires signal from an electret microphone.

Hi Ross, for some reason the camera link wont open. Without seeing the specs on the camera it is difficult to say. Have you tried the AUX out from the amp to the audio in on the camera rather than using the RCA? The small voltage differences might be the key. Worth a try. I will try and find...

what AWG cable to use for cordless drill + car battery

Totally agree. I was just bringing it back on track. If the motor seized or a short across the car battery, things could get very lively indeed. Martin

    Home made speaker

I think you should mount your moving coil in this, and mount your plate on top. Cut the plate slightly smaller than the diameter of the bowl and tape it loosely in place. You will notice an instant difference.
