    Wireless LED

Have a look at Zigbee. Or you might be able to do this with a 10 channel DMUX and send the address and data using a couple od cheap AM TX from say LPRS. Or one Tx and Rx and a micro on the Rx end to decode the data and send it to the corresponding LED. Adam

Try Pico Scope http://www.picotech.com/picoscope-oscilloscope-software.html you might be able to get a second hand one. Adam

Need a bit help in understanding effect of resistors in circuit

Ok what is the electrode you are using can you send some details? What are you driving this with, frequency and voltage? Adam

Protecting logic inputs and outputs that go to external connectors

Good advice Harald, May I add to this. I generally use the newer version of static suppressors called MLVs. These are much faster than most TVS on the market and the static guard manufactured by AVX has lower capacitance than most TVS diodes. A series resistor and back to back zener diodes is...

Need a bit help in understanding effect of resistors in circuit

If you tell us what it is suppose to do then I am sure we can help. Adam

Need a bit help in understanding effect of resistors in circuit

Sounds like you have a high or low pass filter intentionally or unintentionally. You will get a phase shift dependant on the difference between you frequency and RC time constant. Can you supply a drawing of your circuit so it can be analysed properly. With and without the extra components. Adam

basic transistor ckts can produce audio?

Depends on what you call loud. But yes it could be done. Not all amplifiers need to use a power amplifier for you to be able to here this through a speaker.Depends on the power you are after. Remember this, the SPL (Sound pressure Level) we hear needs to be approx.10 times the original power...

    Thoughts on Forum Sections

What about an electronics theory section for formula and calculations. Split up into subcategories like Oscillators, filter design, amplifier design, transistor circuits and a component section including formula for simple voltage dividers, inductor, diode and capacitors etc. I see a lot of...

    Motor drive help!

Yes that looks like it would work ok. You might also need some basic decoupling and support capacitors. Adam

    555 timer and speaker

Can the 555 timer drive such a low impedance without some sort of buffer. I also agree that a cap should not be used if you want a clean signal otherwise you would need such a large capacitor to increase the time constant to allow a clean signal. Adam

    Unwanted Comparator Offset

Op-amps ideally should not be used for comparators, they are designed to be used with negative feedback. Open loop op-amps can oscillate quite easily if their gain is not tamed. There are other issues also, comparators original spec involved driving logic gates and being used in open loop mode...

Help with 4510 bidirectional visitor counter

Vss of U2 is connected to the reset pin of U1, is this correct? Also what are you doing with PE, I can't see this on your circuit. What is all the fancy logic gates on the input for. Adam

IR Project - Viewsonic Monitor drives IR module nuts

Have you tried increasing or decreasing the refresh rate of the monitor. To verify if it's the screen and not EMI what about turning the brightness down and see if that makes it better. Adam

    Help with transistors

It might be better if you had a particular one in mind, there are lots of types. It's quite a task to explain all the different types and their uses. Try Google for these: Bipolar junction Field-effect transistor Germanium transistors With all of these there are many variants. To...
