Need help powering a 12V vehicle video monitor from 5V

Maybe you connected the power backwards shorting out the step up reg? If so confirm the tv still works

    Wireless communication

The wire will attenuate the signal, but if you can filter everything but 1ghz then you should be able to amplify it again ... but then ac is almost like magic to me

Running LED bulb on lower voltage?

I've had an RGB 10w attiny85 running for 2 years now using just 9v sourced to each rgb via simple npn , the current is 1/3rd of the power it can do... As winter turns to summer the ambient temp increase causes a lower foward voltage drop... No problem as current rises accordingly light output...

    Daylight-turn off

I just created this basic circuit, the resistor value that changes is a light diode resistor (ldr) low resistance means high light level, high resistance would mean little light.. The two screenshots show the different states basically swap it for the ldr, if you need more power a darlington...

    Ground loop filter?

Ahh, cool, i'll have a try :) thanks!

    Ground loop filter?

Most include an extra capacitor.... but question remains is there a rule for turns on a ground loop filter?

    Ground loop filter?

Cool thanks for the info! But basically the title says it all, for 5 bucks i can get two small transformers but as always i like to see if i can build a crude version as proof of concept, other than higher impedance the more turns i'm not sure how it affects audio quality does it remove more...

    Ground loop filter?

2 turns? I said 2 windings (primary/secondary) ... i don't know how many turns that's what i'm asking hoping some audio experts could answer...

    Ground loop filter?

I was wondering if i could get away with an iron core toroid have 2 windings inplace of an audio transformer... And if it's a 1:1 ratio what's increasing the number of turns going to do? Efficacy? Power waste?

    Induction Heating

Never said you were.... must be a lost in translation moment (as an English person "well that's my idea" or "that's the idea" just meant that's what i was thinking....

    Induction Heating

Well that was my idea lol ... to not kill himself and to get an idea how they work when he opens it up (not my recommendation :) )

Logic issue then... For simplicity sakes, buy an Arduino....

Modifying pre made delay timer module

I presume adjusting the pot does not give suitable delays?

    SOIC/SOP desoldering

I bought a paint stripper gun, although it works a charm if you don't give too much heat, but it's not great either because the fan in it blows components off the pcb lol I'll have to get a hotplate! Smd components are great but fiddly lol

    Capacitor Questions

And quite frankly, in this instance the voltage drop would be useful... But in my "quoted" post it refers to 117/165v volts (which was a clue as to it not being my post)

    Capacitor Questions

"When you measure AC "voltage", what your meter reports to you is the RMS (root mean square) of the sinusoidally oscillating voltage. For a sine wave, the RMS value is 1/sqrt(2) of the peak amplitude. In the U.S., the RMS is nominally 117V, for a peak value of 165V. A simple rectifier bridge...

    Induction Heating

This is in Aus dollars... so about 35 usd/25 euros? No idea since the aussie dollar collapsed lol

    Induction Heating

How it would normally work is the 240ac is rectified (300vdc) then chopped up into high frequency ac.. I am curious as to why you would want to try and kill yourself lol (An induction cooker is about 50 bucks or so with pan)
