    Power-One power supply mod

I asked the manufacturer to give me 2 secondaries at 28V/120VA each as I'm planning to eventually end up with a power supply with + and - rails. Is your impression that this is not the case? Then I need to check with the manufacturer

    Wireless wind vane alert

Hi Braam and welcome to EP Been thinking about your problem and got a real wacky idea. A normal PC fan has got 3 wires ( sometimes 4) Now the third wire is the interesting one, it sends a signal to the computer telling it that it's working. It's a brushless motor so spins freely. Now I wonder if...

    Smd resistor unbelievable

Yes, very difficult, even looking at the board. So very few of these connections is a100% certainty I hope you were talking about Q4 being the complimentary transistor. I have made a drawing in Kicad showing how I see the connections. It's extremely difficult as I get multiple connectivity all...

    Smd resistor unbelievable

Thanks St Edd Some smd resistor values: 30C=20kΩ 01C=10kΩ 30D=100kΩ 224=49kΩ 01A=100Ω On the red and blue paths: yes and yes. The red path ends up at the top left leg of Q18 Yes, some sort of surge happened when I plugged the new battery in

    Smd resistor unbelievable

St Edd "#1 problem with UPS's . . . . . time declined sulphated batteries . . . or failure to take charge, if gel cell related. But you seem to have a bit of a different problem here." This happened when I put a replacement lead acid battery in and switched on.
