Welcome home brother and Amen to that! We got egged and spit on as soon as our boots hit the tarmac in California. We did not break ranks though! 588th Combat Engineers Based In the Delta about 40 Klicks north of Cu Chi Class of 66 Chris

Increasing Voltage With Multiple Ignition Coils?

OK, I think you've taken enough of a beating so here's my contribution to your topic. Isolation transformers aren't cheap and they're not that easy to find but step down 12V transformers are abundant and inexpensive. If you're going to continue experimenting with mains level voltages may I...

grease gun using dc motor - current switch

In order to give you accurate answers we need accurate information. This would include.. Motor draw under no load conditions. Motor draw under load (as it's moving grease) Motor draw @ 500PSI As far as danger is concerned, it's quite low. This is because grease gun cylinders are...

    AC Adapter Question

As Steve stated the current rating should meet or exceed your original model. This model exceeds your current demands, so it should be fine. http://www.mpja.com/75VDC-300mA-Unregulated-Plug-Supply/productinfo/17558+PD/ The plug type is 5.5mm OD / 2.5mm ID, with the female center (2.5mm) dia...

Increasing Voltage With Multiple Ignition Coils?

Todays electronics experimenters have far more cheap off the shelf (isolated) power supply options available to them than we ever had at that stage in our knowledge curve. So why are they constantly wanting to jump start their heart on the mains? Besides the shock issue there's the fire...

Increasing Voltage With Multiple Ignition Coils?

Just for the record.. While 100mA seems to be the magic figure that's considered lethal, hospitals work under much lower (JACO) guidelines. Bio-Med Techs are instructed that anything > 10mA through the heart is verboten. Anyone want to get into a betting pool on whether or not this thread...

    Digital Pot setup

I took a look see in the MCU library. It would appear that the PIC12F629, which is the older Picaxe 08 has the identical footprint of the 08M2. On that note, I would love to know what the hell the symbol designers were thinking when they made it so damn big!
