Ever hear of a "smoke plate" ?

Is it an insulator between the volume control terminals and the mains switch terminals? Looks like bakelite or fibre.

    Digital piano won't power ON

Did you get your 5v back yet? If I change a flat tyre I usually don't worry too much if the engine oil is due for change.

    Electric throttle

I remembered seeing the "limitations" previously and couldn't remember where so I asked at Arduino and this is the reply. It's standard "boilerplate" that you can usually find at the bottom of the datasheet of the chips involved: Quote Unless specifically provided otherwise, Atmel products are...

    Electric throttle

In an aircraft..... ??? You have to be joking.

    Electric throttle

Initially, that might be a no-no. Also if you read up on the Arduino, I think you will find they are not for auto (or the like ) use.

Constant current LED drivers - faulty, flashing panels

We strike this on a weekly basis usually with light fittings with multiple LEDs. Just put it down to crap (cheap)driver units, even though the fittings cost around $70. Not worth repairing as the driver is unavailable as a part and it has odd parameters that nothing matches. Way of things....

    Mechanical noise DC brush motor

Agree with Debe.....armature looks like toast. Probably been poling for who knows how long. Waste of time and effort trying to do anything with it. Just get a new/ replacement unit.

Tip.....it is in reference to it's environment. I'm guessing it would be of little concern to you.

Arduino restarting while controlling a mosfet with PWM.

Post whatever you have including circuit diagram( not fritzing) so everyone can see what you can see. I'm guessing seperate power required.

Help with relay powering soft-latch power switched inverter

I think the enclosed diagram is a "basic" idea of what you want to do. Relay K-1 contacts power the timer module waiting for a trigger. When the trigger occurs, your timer module holds your start/stop button for pre-set time and then releases. This then allows your inverter to start and power...

Help with relay powering soft-latch power switched inverter

You should be able to find which is which on the rj11 with a multimeter I would imagine.

    Corrosion on Button Cell Batteries

Cheapies are probably alkaline type. Try silver oxide type. Many have this same problem with the cheap lr44 fitted to digital vernier and silver oxide solves it.

    Help with LED indicators/turn signals

No problem....either is just fine. Do you have a model number /year of your machine? I'll try to chase up a wiring diagram.

    Help with LED indicators/turn signals

So are you saying it is not micro controlled but rather mechanical/electrical controller?

    Wiring instructions for timer

Think you will need to provide a bit more info here. Like a link to the details of the module for starters.( appears to be some type of timer) Then what you have tried in the form of how you made your connections, what power supply etc. As it stands , power( no idea what....from the relay...
