    Dryer motor wiring have diagram

Line to M4 (white)....Neutral to M5 (tan).....Earth wire to Grn 14p . As colours on the motor do not match the drawing, perhaps there are terminal markings on the motor terminal white block? One added precaution, this is an "open" motor frame and dangerous to operate outside of original...

    Vss vs. Vdd vs. Gnd

Backlight and character adjust are 2 completely different items. Normally one applies power to terminal 15 and ground to 16 to turn on the backlight. This may be different in your original where you say it is software adjusted. I have never seen this done however it is easy to do via pwm from...

    Vss vs. Vdd vs. Gnd

Pin 3 needs to have the adjust as shown in post #6 to display characters. However, if you are happy with the way it is then that's ok. Good that you actually get it to work.

Combining 2 +12v wires in the car

    Vss vs. Vdd vs. Gnd

15 (anode ....+) and 16 (cathode...-) are the LED connections. They are completely independant from the other cabling in the new LCD. You have obviously connected the character adjust on the new unit to the backlight adjust of the existing wiring. If this is the case you will...

    T8 - LED shop lighting

Pepi, just an off topic comment.....wondered if you've used the mill yet? Both mill and lathe look new. I bought the same mill a few years back and the top motor had a design flaw in the base mount. It left the motor sitting skewiff and resulted in a snapped motor shaft. Yes really, snapped a...

    T8 - LED shop lighting

Might be better to just replace the fitting with say one of the floodlight range. Nephew fitted some 50w units off Ebay about 5 years ago and still seem to be holding up ok. Then again the use is exterior short time use. If you can get onto the Cree type probably a better investment. Edit:-...

    T8 - LED shop lighting

That's the one Bob. The T5 tubes are the ones about 12mm dia with the bend in the middle when installed. :D:D T8 don't normally require any mods to the light if it is a standard ballast , just the starter is replaced by a fuse which plugs into the starter receptacle. One thing to avoid, as we...

Help with a connector (Newb Question)

    T8 - LED shop lighting

In my experience, as pointed out, it can be down to the quality of the gear. As most is from the land of cheapies, or end up being so, it is not so much the LEDs but the drivers that go belly-up. A call to a child minding centre a few weeks back found these replacement T8 tube drivers(...

    Measurement device

Try a dro, as used in mills/ lathes. Available in small sizes these days or as suggested before a digital caliper. Maybe even hack the latter, many have done so in the past as they can be purchased for around $10 on Ebay for a cheapie from China.
