    Turning LG smart tv off on the mains

    I have a TCL and turn it on and off everyday at the wall outlet. No problems so far after 5 years and it comes straight on.........i.e. does not go into standby. Guess it's the lemon thing...suck it and see.

    Another tack would be to remove the feedback pot and any stops in the servo to convert it's action to a gearmotor. Then gear down the output to the barrier mechanics and fit the feed back pot there. Just a thought. Another would be to use one of the small stepper motors on Ebay...

    Q1 What's the point in trying to charge a battery that is beyond recovery. Others...usually the charger injects a burst of charge of differing levels to ascertain details from the battery.

    motor problem.

    You will not be able to turn the motor via the gearbox on the worm drive arrangement. That's the nature of the worm drive. There are exceptions but I won't go into that.

    Is the motor/gearbox on your bench or still connected to the carriage? If so, probably get your electrician mate to check that the transformer is working ok on both legs. Something does not look right....you have a 15+15 transformer which appears to be connected in series on the output yet...

    So now it works fine ?????? Don' t think I've ever seen so many bits and pieces and adaptors to achieve what an available power bank will do at a cost of less than half of the price of the battery used in the video alone.

Also your description jumps between transistor and mosfet as is your circuit operation description. I feel if you want to get this...

    You'll have a hard time trying to measure battery voltage or anything else remotely associated with a micrometer. What is the battery? 5 cell 12v seems odd.

    You are not looking at current limiting perse.....rather a signal voltage as mosfets are voltage operated. 10k to ground should suffice. Note, when the hall is on the mosfet will be off.

    In my experience with ignition systems and hall effect, the C1 would not need to be anywwhere near the value shown. It is to keep noise (decoupling) from effecting the hall .     Powering my project with a 7.4v battery

    If you want to go that way, (MASSIVE) then why not just buy the battery in a case with the charger that suits and all the bells and whistles included. Called a power pack I believe. Probably cost about the same. Just looked it up .... power bank
