    3 phase input for 500mA 5V?

Would like some advice about my motor speed control circuit.

Is the 220R really necessary? Any Gate R for that matter. Normally I'd just put maybe a 1K to ground.

    Satellite detection

Agree with Dave. I've never seen a satellite move enough to affect tuning. Many other things to look at as to why you are loosing signal. A satellite forum would be my first point of call, many professional satellite people there with insight into your particular problem, but, you are going to...

    Passive sign convention

Agreed....my quote was just another way to look at it which may have made more sense to the OP.

    Passive sign convention

If one were to look upon the 40v as say a battery and the other 2 sources driving the 1A then power would be 60W.........(no?)

Repairing tumble dryer: what is this part?

Many countries black is the active so my guess is an active loop off to another device/section

    Temperature 'sender' (sensor) Custom Replacement?

Seems something in your readings is not correct. Usually meters go "full scale" at zero (or near zero) resistance but your initial quote says otherwise. Then you supply hot and cold resistances completely opposite. Drilling out the sender is not a good idea, could end up with a giant blow-out on...

Need help with placement of 3 prong switch

    1. Connect switch after the fuse. 2. No idea what you mean there....seems to be the same statement. Also you seem to have answered your own question regarding connection to the switch. BUT anyhow, ...connect positive from fuse to middle silver......out to the load positive via other silver and...

Need help with placement of 3 prong switch

Try battery positive to centre terminal. Load to one of the others...don't know which one the internal LED is connected to or if you even require it. Sort of "suck it and see". Other than that, a link to details of the switch .

Trying to buy the right sockets for my PICs

2 of them for Aus $1.59 seems rather cheap to me. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Arrival-Sales-2Pcs-New-Zif-28-pin-28-Pins-Test-Universal-IC-Socket-Narrow-H-/281344865405?hash=item418175f47d:g:GScAAOxyjxlTKpxV

    Air Compressor Controller

I assumed his "motor start with overloads" was a contactor block with an overload unit of appropriate size attached. Fairly standard arrangement for smaller motors. Don't see the need for inbuilt thermistors and protection relay.

Motor Direction RF Module Plus Switches

You have a few problems to overcome. Firstly you need to supply details on the wireless module as you have it, no one here does. The motor will not run very long on that small battery. Tactile switches were never made to switch motor current. Neither was the breadboard designed for that...

    Air Compressor Controller

Don't use fuses down this way anymore. Very true about the loading. Never ceases to amaze me how difficult it is to get that info out of a customer sometimes. It's like they don't want to give away any secrets.:)

    Air Compressor Controller

Don't use AWG here in Aus but looked up equivilent and you are in the ball park. I would have gone for 4 mm2 which is a tad bigger but the AWG doesn't change sizes in proportion to mm2. Depends how far you will run the final feed. At the stated FLA I'd say around 5 to 6hp for your motor.

    Air Compressor Controller

They do have a mechanical overpressure release valve. When they release it is very difficult to ignore. 30A should be ok for around 7 to 10hp as they start no-load. Breaker should be sized to both protect the cable used (size) and allow normal motor start without tripping. A different curve...
