Compass Downloader Modems

Can someone clear this up. I've got the list of compatible modems from
Ademco's website and it is rather long. But in the Compass downloader
program, the modem list is short. How strict is the modems that can be used?
On the list from Ademco I see Accura 336 (Does not include Fax). I assume
that means that if I find a Accura 336 w/fax on Ebay, it will not work. Is
this correct? I've found several close descriptions of modems on the list on
Ebay. I just hate to spend $20-30 bucks on a modem that won't work and I
can't return.

If you just plan on downloading Ademco the Hayes Optima 33.6 works fine and
is available on Ebay, also works on ITI
