Need to convert speaker output to microphone input on a board. I dont need high quality sound...just something quick and dirty.
Thanks in advance
Could you clarify what you want to do? At first, I thought you wanted to use a speaker as a microphone (as most intercom systems do), but perhaps you want to take the signal, connected to the speaker from an amplifier, and feed that signal to the microphone input on a board. That might require a reduction in signal amplitude to avoid overloading the microphone input, something you can accomplish with a simple potentiometer. Any resistance potentiometer from about one thousand ohms to ten thousand ohms should work to reduce the level of signal to an acceptable level for microphone (low level) input to the board. You might also want to insert a fixed-value resistance in series with the potentiometer, to limit the range of adjustment, to avoid overloading the microphone input.
OTOH, if you want to use a loudspeaker as a microphone... more information is needed.
