Les Paul is kind of like the garage hackers idol. After all the main idea was to create a feedback and hum free electric guitar.
There are a lot of stories about what LP did when Gibson refused his buzz free electric guitar.
One of them is that he took it to Japan and produced millions of flat top solid bodies made from verneers.
Another says he went to Agentina and produced collectors guitars out of exotic woods.
Still another one says he went into depression, became a drunk and produced a couple of home made "logs of 4x4's with electronics in them.
I found an old worn out Les paul (Japanese) at a garage sale and I would like to put the original buzz and hum free circuit in it.
just saying.... Gibson started producing Les Paul guitars and really messed the first ones up, there are alot of stories about that also. Les Paul told them they could use his name, but that was it, he would not endorse the electronics or the craftmanship of the instrument.
Any body know how to make a buzz and hum free electric guitar guts, using 2-2 wire humbuckers, 4 pots and a 3 way toggle switch all pumped through a 1/4" phone jack?
