and I never said that you aren't. I never
said I know a lot about electronics.

You have bragged about your patents on more than one occasion, and
it was you that started calling me an assembler, and/or a tech.

Then, a bunch of your Futz buddies jumped onto your little hayride.

Just because you never cussed doesn't mean that you haven't had your
moments where you have done nothing but ooze feces.

I guess that The China Construction Bank, being the largest in the
world now, provides no benefit to those chinese that invest in it.

If it actually loans money intelligently I'm sure it is.

That must be what a stock taking an artificial dive is for!
Somebody gets rich on the money that we KNOW just didn't evaporate
into thin air, and a bunch of people lose that money. For them, it
did merely evaporate.

Stockbrokers are indeed little different to croupiers. They make money by siphoning
it off.

And then there's the _always_ condescendingly pompous, unemployable
Bill Sloman.

I haven't got much choice about reacting to you in a condescending
manner. Quite a few people around here do know what they are talking
about, and get more or less respectful reactions.

Massive Prong is even more dogmatic and even less well-informed than
you are, and even more emphatic, not to mention foul-mouthed, when
venting his ill-informed opinions.

IPOs can give businesses capital they need to expand. After that,
their stock becomes mostly a betting medium, like greyhounds or
blackjack tables. It's not as if there are much serious dividends any
more.

I recollect the comment of one German officer during WWII. They had come
across a birthday cake which had been baked in the USA and flown to Europe
for some officer's birthday. He said that it was at that moment that he knew
the war was lost.

I still find it amusing that you can buy ready to eat jello in supermarkets.

The Swiss Miss ready-to-eat vanilla pudding is superb, as is the
Safeway Select frozen Creme Bruille. Use a proper blowtorch, please,
not one of those fru-fru toys they sell in the kitchen stores.

Part of the recent Chinese stock market crash resulted from people
taking out bank loans to buy stocks. The same thing happened here in
1929.

You have bragged about your patents on more than one occasion,

I have no patents. None. Never claimed to.
and
it was you that started calling me an assembler, and/or a tech.

Never did. Never said that air gaps don't exist, either.

Then, a bunch of your Futz buddies jumped onto your little hayride.
Translation?

Just because you never cussed doesn't mean that you haven't had your

Bullbleep. This is a discussion group, so discuss. What did Harry
Truman say about hot kitchens?

The '29 crash started over Coffee.

That's a Ripley's fact.

Sorry, must be thinking of another...
Never did.

Bullshit. You were right in there with the tards that pulled that
crap.
Never said that air gaps don't exist, either.

I didn't say you said that. I SAID that you claimed that a gapped
transformer was a poor design (a bad thing, I said). It was right
after my original reference to the FACT that gapping them is sometimes
needed in a circuit.
Translation?

Oh... now you are in the dark. If I had said **** buddies, you
would have spewed some crap about me having some obsession again.
Make up your mind, dipshit.

Said the dope that mouths off insults *without* cussing at will.
You don't get it both ways. When you jack off at the mouth at one of
my posts, you WILL get it right back in your face.
What did Harry
Truman say about hot kitchens?

Ask any of the engineers and scientists that worked on the MP, if
you can find any of them alive, that is...

I recall saying that in an AC excited transformer, adding a gap
doesn't reduce core flux density so doesn't help. I think that's still
true. I have never seen a commercial AC-only transformer that was
gapped. The function of an ac transformer core is to transfer energy,
not to store it. If energy storage is needed, like in a choke or a
flyback converter, a gap can help a lot.

You need to look at the bigger picture.

In the bigger picture, all taxes are counterproductive.

No. But tradesmen building enormous mansions for rich people is as
productive for society in general as if those same tradesmen were paid
to dig holes and then paid to fill them up. The result is a few people
living in a 28,000 square foot energy-guzzling house. Those same
tradesmen, for the same effort, could have built 20 decent houses for
real people.

Just paying people merely redistributes wealth; it doesn't increase
wealth.

John
But John,
Those tradesmen go home, and buy groceries and pay mortgages and buy TVs
and otherwise spread that wealth, increasing it to all around them.
This increase in wealth then allows 20 real people (or more!) to be able
to afford those decent homes.

I still love the best example of this, which is from an Animaniacs
movie! Whacko finds a single halfpenny, which he spends on a loaf of
bread, which the baker used to buy a roast which the butcher uses to...
etc. etc. etc. The best economics lesson for children I have ever seen!

But every thing they buy means someone else can't have it.
Incrementally, their spending makes the price of everything go up.
That's what happens when you have pay without productivity.

If just giving people dollars for doing unproductive things worked,
the government could just print a lot of money and give it away, and
everybody would be rich. In Zimbabwe today, a salary of $33 million a
month is not enough to live on.

Which is what happens when the John Edwards of the country can't build their
houses.
