I have a 10 year old JVC 27" with vertical collapse and am hopging to
get some specific help along the lines given in this similar article:

Can anybody with a SAMS/schematic at least identify the vertical
section form me? If I know where it is, I can probably figure it out
on my own (would be GREAT, though, if somebody else has already
seen/fixed this and would share). Thanks in advance for any help you
are willing to share.

Look for an IC chip with about 13 pins in a row. It will be mounted with a
philips head screw against a metal frame, with a number like LA7836, 37 or 38.
Find this part, resolder all 13 pins and you'll be fixed 98% of the time.
