    SDRAM

Hi ariel, Welcome to our forum. This might help: http://www.hclinfosystems.com/pdf/sdram.pdf
  2. Hi Steven, You got hardcopy’s of almost all of them, great! Yes, the sensor projects can really give you some ideas of what you can get data from all around you. I agree it’s a good one! ;)
  3. Good find Jack! Do you know if any of the files need code to be unpacked? I got prompted to sign up when browsing around. Thanks Jack.
  4. Hi Jack, Many things to consider here; which OS, which software, what are you going to control or get data from, how many channels do you need, analogue or digital or both? Did this make things clearer for you? ;D
  5. Hi Sukhbinder, You should add distilled water only, no acid! Battery water is an alternative even though it’s not really distilled only de-mineralized i.e. they have removed lime, iron and other stuff from it to make it non-conductive. You should not fill unless the level is low, if the level is unnecessary high you will get spill when charging which is extremely corrosive and at the same time the acid will be diluted over time. The water consumption depends on many things; battery age, working temperature, and how smart and good charger you have. Use protective glasses when removing the plugs to fill water! 8)
  6. New post, same content! What’s wrong with the first one? :P
  7. Hi K3tchup, Welcome to our forum, Which planet do you come from? ;D US Independence Day Google it!
  8. Hi Steven, So, you seem to be well acquainted with this series of books. Tell us which one is your favorite and why? I suppose you got all of them now in your computer to browse through whenever you run into some reluctant circuit! ;D

    HACKED

Not only you’re IP, also your ID with picture! Your avatar! How would you define "funny" in your world? May it be whatever brightens a day (or rather a night) in a sociopath’s pathetic life!
  10. If you can’t wait between downloads (free) I suggest you get a full membership, full details and prizing on the page. ;)
  11. OK, here: http://www.electronics-lab.com/forum/index.php?topic=6188.0 Scroll down to the third post and you will find links to all of them! ;)
  12. Hi nanop, I think there are 10 or 12 books by Forrest Mims; can you name the 4 you are searching for?
  13. Hi, I believe you shouldn’t get into something if you are not deeply interested and/or exited about it! If you will get a good job or not after graduation depends on your dedication and of curse where you live on our planet. The starting pay… don’t think too much about pay at this stage or as I said before; interest and dedication can get you anywhere! ;)
  14. Hi Jim, Ok, $900 does not sound too bad compared to $3500 but you have to match the packs with some of your old once to run it. The first thing that comes in mind is a standard starter battery tester like this one: http://www.biltema.se/products/product.asp?iItemId=88165 I think you have the same kind on your side of the pond for $49.95 or so. I am not sure how much you are allowed to load the packs but used on one pack at a time (14.4V fully charged) it will sure reveal any bad packs. Attach the tester to a pack, flick the switch for a few seconds and you’ll know! 8)
  15. Hi, I believe there are too many unknowns in your equation to give a short or precise answer. What you have told us so far brings up a few questions like: What’s the UPS requirement for the input voltage, stability, current, noise and so on? The generator, data, how to run it, how to regulate its output so that nothing’s going to fry? And this is just to begin with! 8)
  16. Hi Jim, Welcome to our forum. The new battery pack must have cost you an arm and a leg! May I ask how many % of the vehicles prize is the battery pack? It’s a 144Volt NiMH battery if I remember correctly, are all the cells within reach of measuring? Do you have any special instructions on how to test the old pack or is it on your own initiative to perform it like you described?
  17. I couldn’t find any inverter for >1000Volts anywhere in the archives, are you sure you have seen it on E-Lab?
  18. Hi AG, What makes the ripple (100 – 500 kHz) incurable here?
  19. Show us what you got and we’ll try to fill in the blanks for you!
  20. One thing I noticed, when scientists says it’s not harmful they are always on some big telecom company’s payroll! Maybe not at the first glance but if you investigate deeper that’s what you will find! 8)
  21. Well, this does not reveal the colors of your wires. Where I live we have earth (ground) wire green/yellow and neutral blue; these are connected in the service junction box (hot (phase) is black or brown). If I measure the voltage between the blue and the green/yellow wires it must be zero volts, if not there is a problem.
