redirecting 3.5mm jack input
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to ren_zokuken01's topic in Electronic Projects Design/Ideas
You have a clever idea. I don't think it would be a pretty work. You need to trace the circuit where audio amplifier takes input. Then tap these wires out. No gaurantee that it will not damage the rf output. -

Dear Friends, I have got to power my laptop from a 12V battery. I have a couple of ptn04050 dc/dc converter modules lying around. The converter operates at 5v and boosts it to -15V (adjustable). Could I use it to get 19V? My first thought is dividing the Battery voltage to 6V using capacitor divider and then drive the laptop with ptn04050 output in series with battery. Please give your suggestions.

Its a nice idea. I have seen a demonstration here:http://www.josepino.com/science/electricity-from-piezoelectric

Well, I did my BSC Electronics last year from UET Lahore. Now I am doing my MS telecomm.

Transferring artwork on to a PCB
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to shaiqbashir's topic in Spice Simulation - PCB design
Hello Shaiq, I have obtained good results by using the back paper atttached to stickers which u remove and throw away. It works absolutely fine. -
For CDsssss try Keil, Mathematica, Agilent Techs for Trial Versions

How can I cascade 4017s?
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to bobleny's topic in Electronic Projects Design/Ideas
Cascade ?: one way is to connect c_out to c_in of the next one or else if u want then to count in sequency, try May be use 1 master 4017 which gets 1/10th of system clock and its output used as display en-able for all other '17s which are all clocked from same (I say system) clock. Unfortunately disp-en function isn't onchip so u have to plan ur external circuit. Transistors could be used to power individual '17s. -
I am very sad too :-[ [move] :'( :-[ :-\ :'( :-[[/move] No doubt, ER has been the one of most attractive features of the site. All the thanks and respect goes to Mr. Ante for such a good contribution to this part of site. I now request MIXOS to leave the contents as it is not reasonable to throw away ones friends(books).

50Hz when you touch Oscilloscope probe
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to Shahriar's topic in Electronic Projects Design/Ideas
when i put cd4017 or cd4026 on breadboard (from a power supply) it gets self clocked at exact 50Hz. When operating from a battery it doesn't happen. -
220V/15kVA 1A ? Figure isn't clear to me. is it 15Kilo Volt? A transfo with same kVA and Voltage rating shouldn't have diff current ratings.

Ball Firing Canon
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to shaiqbashir's topic in Mechanical constructions/Hardware
Aslam O Alaikum Shaiq, Why not use the centrifugal force of a body rotating in circle. Acutual mechanical may consist of a continuously rotationg arm. Rotating at one end with a hand on the second end. Hand grips the ball till ball's w is sufficiently high and then release the ball. Analogy of the game where a player throws the hammer first by rotating himself in circular motion. I think this way you'll need lesser force to grip the ball while ready to be released than the case in which you apply a force to push the ball. I mean a plunger type grip. -
Hello AG, You got my point. Hello Ante, I saw some other IC'pairs doing the same functionality. But I don't remeber there exact ID's

Fixed current power supply 100A DC
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to nametc3's topic in Electronic Projects Design/Ideas
Hello nametc3, To measure R in uOhm range KELVIN bridge is used. It uses meter movement (as your v-meter) to detect the test resistense arainst a variable known R. If u plan I-surce V-meter then even the connecting wires can add up to many more u-ohms. Its not practical approach at this level of R. Search www for more on Kelvin Bridge. -
ICL7107? A lot of wiring mesh to do. Just compare 10 Vs 23 pins you have to feed.

How to Read, Write, Print and Email in GREEK (Many Uses!!!)
Muhammad Abu Bakar replied to a topic in General
But I am unable to find it ::) -
Hello! I am also an EE. I graduated 6 months back and immediately got a telecom job as Management Trainee. I have great interest in electronics but can't do more than enjoying it as a hobby. I had never much of this kind of work in my country. But I never thought that you can't find a Design Job of your interest anywhere else :-[

Hello Mike I realy do so. Once I had PCB's printed from wrong side(acutually flipped). Then I had to solder DIPs at the bottom side. However I got ZIPs on top side with moving the legs at opposite sides. About the matter of IC pins I personally feel: 1. All i/p pins should be grouped togather (Mechanicaly in a row). 2. All o/p pins should be grouped togather. 3. Power supply pins should be neighbours. 4. The pins performing control functions should come in line. Perhaps it might put PCB designers on a Holiday ;D

Hello Audio Guru But we can't see all that stuff :-[ :P. Please do something so its accessible to someone else! :-* -
Yes my stepper motor whiteout shorting the wires have clearly noticeable steps. I have experienced difficulty in spinning the motor while on. But just shortning the wires has no effect. Ante have you experienced it yourself?
